"My mother, Muriel resided and was cared for at Mariner’s Green (board and care facility) in Redwood City, from April 2018 until her passing November 1, 2023.  Carlito Guevarra and his staff did a wonderful job in providing a clean, healthy, comfortable and loving environment for my mom who had advanced dementia. I was very grateful for her to be in their care.  The caregivers took care of her as if she was their own family.  

During the COVID shutdown the staff made it possible for us to FaceTime with her, using their personal tablets.  When I visited her, I was welcomed and found her to be well fed and bathed daily and her clothes clean.

On Holidays and Resident’s birthdays the families were invited to celebrate with their loved one(s). For those who wanted and were able to be outside they were taken out with whatever ambulatory assistance they required.

My special thanks to JoJo, Mely for the exceptional care and companionship and to Carlito for being accessible regarding any questions or concerns that I had.  Even if the staff changes, Carlito sets a high standard of care when he hires the staff.  I would highly recommend Mariner’s Green to any family needing to find a place for their family members."

"I cannot say enough wonderful things about this care home. My mother lived there from April 2018 to Nov 2023. She was always compassionately cared for by caregivers who genuinely loved her. When she was completely dependent and in hospice needing personal care, feeding, bathing, toileting, rotating in bed and just loving human contact, she received that there. I am so thankful I found Carlito and his amazing care home.

When my mother broke her hip at 92 in 2015 she was no longer able to live independently. She lived at 3 different corporate care homes none of which provided the level of care she needed. Then a friend referred me to Carlito and Mariners Green Residential Care Home and she moved in 2018 and she remained there until her death at 100 in 2023. There she was able to die in peace knowing she was loved and well cared for. I will be forever indebted to Carlito and his team of caregivers who attended her every need and provided the care that I was unable to provide."

The exercise of finding a care home for our beloved family member was emotional to say the least.  Our Dad had been in a memory care "facility" for five years and prior to moving him to Mariners Green he was declining rapidly. We were once again in the horrible position of trying to find him real care with what we thought was months to go.

Carlito, Mariners Green, and the ENTIRE staff literally saved my Dads life.  Mariners Green is a home... a home in every sense of the word. A bright clean room with a private bath. Home cooked meals that would appeal to anyone. Fresh juices and healthy snacks. The staff is gentle, patient and treats our Dad like family. Treats our Dad with dignity.

Easing into Dementia is NOT an easy journey and I could not think of a better situation for him.

When we moved Dad to Mariners Green we were preparing for "the end" and here we are years later and it seems as though his health is moving in the opposite direction. Truly our own Benjamin Button!!

We are FOREVER grateful to Carlito, and all the carefamily at Mariners Green for caring for our beloved Dad ... I cant say that enough.

Mariner’s Green has been a wonderful place for my mother. We transferred her here after having her at a larger nursing facility which did not seem to have the capacity to give her the medical and emotional care that she deserved. The caregivers at Mariner’s Green cook fresh meals, play music, and even dance with the residents. They take our mom for a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood everyday and the holiday celebrations are a blast! We feel like the team at Mariner’s Green has become a part of our family. Highly recommend.
